FARE Idaho Feature: Smokesmith Bar-B-Que

In the summer of 2020, husband-and-wife team Sean and Katie Smith opened Smokesmith Bar-B-Que in Sandpoint, Idaho. Originally operating out of a converted box truck lovingly nicknamed “Eddie,” they served up brisket, pulled pork and ribs, along with made from scratch sides like coleslaw, mac & cheese, beans and more.
 
In 2023, Smokesmith Bar-B-Que expanded into a brick and mortar location in Sandpoint. “We essentially created what we couldn't find up here in Sandpoint, live fire craft BBQ,” said owner Katie Smith. “With this opportunity of brick & mortar, we are able to create even more of a community around the food that we make. The first two months of this restaurant have been such a fun adventure and we can't wait for the years to come in this awesome community.”
